Seaside, Oregon is a family friendly beach town. Equal parts saltwater taffy and carnival games. What it really has going for it is its wide expansive beach with room to spread out, dip your toes in the water, sunbathe, play volleyball, or fly a kite.
Along the Oregon Coast, between Astoria and Seaside, lies Fort Stevens State Park. One of the more interesting spots in the shipwreck of the Peter Iredale. It ran ashore in 1906 and you can walk right up to the rusted hull.
