Driving along Indiana State Road 8 in DeKalb County near Garrett, you come across the Auburn-Garrett Drive-In movie theatre. These places are vanishing. I was glad to see this one still in operation.

In Fort Wayne, Indiana visiting family. No downtown visit is complete without visiting Coney Island. It’s a must do!

I’m visiting family in the Auburn, Indiana area. It’s classic small town America: a nice courthouse square, family-run businesses, and a nice public library.

Classic car enthusiasts need to visit the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana. Home to the Auburn Automobile Company, the building houses many cars from Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg models.

Abandoned buildings fascinated me. I don’t always see them as eyesores. They are a window to the past. In Indiana, I’ve driven past plenty of derelict buildings. Two that stand out to me are the old Electric and Water Works building in Auburn, Indiana and the Jefferson Township School in Dover, Indiana.
