Twin Peaks visit: Snoqualmie & North Bend, Washington

Since Salish Lodge & Spa was our home base, we branched out from there to explore the other local Twin Peaks sites with our trusty filming location map from the hotel.

No Twin Peaks fan will pass up a visit to Twede’s Cafe in North Bend. This was used as the “Double R” diner on the show. Loads of food and friendly wait staff. Where’s Norma?

Ordering the coffee and cherry pie is a must! Luckily we weren’t the only fans making the pilgrimage.

Next stop was to try and find the location of the “Welcome to Twin Peaks” sign on Reinig Road. Here’s a screenshot from the TV series:

And here’s our approximation…That’s Mount Si in the background.

We toured around some of the other sites and then made our way to Snoqualmie Point Park to do some hiking. The park was the site of an old winery and was used in the “picnic spot” scene of Twin Peaks. Great views of the mountains and beautiful wildflowers.

We got our Twin Peaks fill…Seattle awaits! Below are some more photos of our Twin Peaks tour. For the full set, check out my Flickr album.
