New York City: Central Park

Got into New York City and checked in to our hotel – Days Inn at 94th St. and Broadway. With only a 3-block walk to Central Park, that was our first tourist stop.

Entering the park near 93rd St., we spent much of the afternoon wandering around. We walked past the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, the Great Lawn, Turtle Pond, and stopped for some photos at Belvedere Castle.

Continuing our walk through The Ramble, we headed to The Lake, across Bow Bridge, to Betheseda Terrace. South of the terrace, the park was closed for a movie shoot (one of the Spiderman movies–don’t ask me which one!). So we walked on until we got to Strawberry Fields. After that, we headed towards Wollman Rink and climbed up the rocks for a view of the skyline.

Here are a few photos below. For more pics from NYC, check out my Flickr album.
