The Perfect Morning: Acadia National Park, Maine

What a different a day makes! After yesterday’s (see blog post) rain and fog, I awoke to blue skies and sunshine. Headed out the door at around 6:30am and drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain. Still breezy…but oh what a view!

Next, I drove back to the part of the Park Loop Road that was still open (the remainder still closed due to sequestration) and did about a three hour hike along the cliffs to Otter Point.

I encountered about three people during my hike…so yes, I did feel like I had Acadia to myself. Of course, it did have to end. Had to be back at the Bangor airport by 1pm for my flight.

Acadia is one of those places I could go back to again and again…and I will!
