London, Day 5: Part 2, Walking Tour

The sun came out and it stopped raining! We returned to London from Windsor Castle and decided to make the most of it.

We went back to some of the major tourists sites again and got some nice photos. Also, some photos of both me and mom–something that we had been neglecting to do!

We took the tube from Paddington to our first stop: Earl’s Court tube station. Outside is a police box, just like the TARDIS from the classic British television show Doctor Who. Had to get a photo of that!

After that, it was back on the tube to St. James’s Park. We walked through the park and over to Buckingham Palace. Down Birdcage Walk, Westminster was next. Stopped by the Houses of Parliament – waiting for Big Ben to chime on the hour, crossed the River Thames, past the London Eye, and over to the Tate Modern.

Crossing the River Thames again–this time on the Millennium Bridge, we walked to St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Satisfied with our walking tour, we got on the tube and returned to our hotel.

Here are some of the photos below. For the full set, check out my Flickr album.
