Disneyland day is here! We walked from our hotel on Katella Avenue in Anaheim, through Downtown Disney, and got to the park gates in about 10 minutes as they were opening. Early on a Monday morning, there were no lines.

We ended up spending the whole day at Disneyland–we basically closed the place down. We rode all the rides on our list and visited all themed areas: Main Street USA, New Orleans Square, Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Mickey’s Toontown, Critter Country, and Tomorrowland.

Highlights of course included “It’s a Small World,” Hanted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones ride, Mark Twain riverboat, Splash Mountain, Finding Nemo submarine, Space Mountain, and the parade.

Food prices are $$$ so be prepared to shell out. We had a surprisingly OK cafeteria style dinner at French Market in New Orleans Square. Better yet: we took our food outside, grabbed a table, and watched the fireworks. Perfect!
