Dallas: Dealey Plaza

I’m in Dallas, Texas for a work conference. Before my meetings, I got up early and walked over to Dealey Plaza, site of the JFK assassination.

It was a weird feeling. Some conspiracy theorists were willing to give you their take–for a fee. Other people were milling about with morbid fascination.

An “X” on the street marks where the fatal bullet hit JFK. One oddity: a large yellow plastic sign marking the “grassy knoll.” The Sixth Floor Museum is housed in the Texas School Book Depository building.
