New Orleans: Algiers, Algiers Ferry, and the Riverwalk

My hunch is that not a lot tourists in New Orleans venture beyond the French Quarter. That’s a shame as there are plenty of other things to see.

From Canal Street, we boarded the Algiers Ferry (also called the Canal Street Ferry) to take the 10 minute trip across the Mississippi River. From the Algiers neighborhood, we walked over to the Old Point Bar for a drink.
