Morning Drive on the Maine Coast

Decided to get up early and take a drive along the southern Maine coast. Leaving Manchester, New Hampshire, I headed over to Interstate 95 which becomes the Maine Turnpike. I exited on to US Highway 1 and then took 1A through York Harbor, York Beach, and Cape Neddick.
After that, I headed back to US Highway 1 until it came to Maine Highway 5 and that took me into Old Orchard Beach. Had a nice walk around the beach and pier area.
But there were more things to see. I left Old Orchard Beach and made my way down Maine Highway 9 until it rejoined US Highway 1. At Scarborough, I headed south on Maine Highway 207 which becomes Maine Highway 77. I made stops at Crescent Beach State Park and Two Lights State Park.
I continued on Maine Highway 77 until it intersected with Shore Road. My last stop was to Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth to tour around the Portland Head Light and the abandoned ruins of Goddard Mansion.
So it was a whirlwind morning…but a good one at that!
