Mount Major & Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire

A perfect day for a hike. We went to Mount Major, located in the Belknap range near Alton, New Hampshire.

At 1,786 feet, Mount Major offers great views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the forests of the surrounding region.

The trail is fairly easy, though you do need to watch for rocks on the trail path – it’s an old logging road. Towards the top, you do need to do a bit a rock scrambling. However, every one from children to senior citizens are able to complete the climb without much effort.

Add this hike to your list if you’re in the area!
